Light Flight

Writing this in the supposed summer reminds me of the song 'What a difference a day makes'. Many of the two-day shows, and in particular the RIAT at Fairford, had one good day and one washout. The Fairford show was an 'advanced ticket only' show this year and those holding Sunday tickets had a real dousing although flying took place in the dry intervals. Our size of aircraft have suffered equally of course and two model fly-in/BBQs I was due to attend had to be cancelled. Last week one day was perfect flying weather from dawn to dusk while the next day was dismally wet. The message is certainly to grab the fine times and fly and on the good day I managed to test fly and get photographs of three new EDF models. These will be fully covered in my Small Thrust feature in the Q&EFI but I'll mention them here.
