What a coincidence that Alasdair Sutherland did some writing on canards too, in the same issue (February 2009). Whilst reading about the need for the foreplane to have a cambered section I had a cold damp feeling come over me. Hoping that I had not drawn the foreplane as a fiat plate I looked at the drawing and, sure enough, that is what I have done! I knew all about the need for a cambered section when I built the model and indeed the models both have a cambered foreplane. I made an error in the drawing I'm afraid. In case you can put a note in a coming issue the details are as follows:rnThe LE is rounded and the taper is over the last 1.5 inches at the root and the last 1 - inch at the tip (40 mm and 25 mm). Finish off by giving the top surface a sanding to produce a gently curved surface.
