The BMFA Midland Area committee decided after a number of years running the 'Festival Of Flight' at Barkston Heath (with the exception of this year, when the weather washed it out), to use past profits from this event to initiate an 'Education Initiative'. After much discussion they decided to present to a selected number of clubs from the area with goods to encourage the education scheme, introducing members and people who might take part in our sport. The goods were a Chris Foss designed WOT ARTF Trainer kit, and Irvine 52 Mk.ll engine, 2.4 GHz Futaba 6-channel radio set, to each club selected.
