My first experience of Meister was when I had the chance to purchase a Meister P-51 around 15 years ago. The Meister P-51 is a 90" span sport-scale model that was to be my steppingstone from the Galaxy Mustang to larger, heavier warbirds for show flying. A couple of years later I took the next step and purchased a Meister P-47. This was a finished model but I wanted to change a lot of it so reduced it pretty much to kit form again and rebuilt it. The P-47 unlike the P-51 is much closer to scale and so the only thing stopping the builder going all out on a fully detailed scale model of the P-47, is the builder himself.
