Barkston Heath welcomed us on Friday afternoon with sunshine and the promise of a closely competed competition over the weekend. There was to be a revival of some of the former champions to do battle again - Bob Ryan, Simon McNeill, John Ruck, Allan Stead and last year's winner, Martin Bell were set to return to do battle in the Fun Fly arena.
