Dancing Queen is one of a long series of designs styled loosely on racing aircraft, in this case no particular aircraft. The wing is in fact based on the wing from a CAP 20L that had really excellent characteristics. I increased the chord and then extended the wingtip to a full elliptical shape. I have used a similar wing in the past. My Lady Eowyn in the Traplet's plans range is very similar. Don't worry, it is just as easy to build as a normal parallel chord wing. The model was really designed to use my newly acquired Wankel engine but knowing that this is not a very common engine I designed it so that the engines could be changed over in a few minutes. Initial test flights were made with my favourite engine, the SC 32, which provides the perfect power level for this model. After the initial flights I fitted an OS Graupner Wankel engine.
