Antiphospholipid, anti-β2-glycoprotein-I and anti-oxidized-low-density-lipoprotein antibodies in antiphospholipid syndrome

Antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL), anti-β2-glyco- protein I (anti-β2-GPI) and anti-oxidized-low- density lipoprotein (LDL) antibodies are all implic- ated in the pathogensis of antiphisholipid syndrome. To investigate whether different autoanti- bodies or combinations thereof produced distinct effects related to their antigenic specificities, we examined the frequencies of antiphospholipid syn- drome (APS)-related features in the presence of dif- ferent antibodies [aPL, β2-GPI, anti-oxidized low density lipoprotein (LDL)] in 125 patients with APS.
