Second-quarter growth in aggregate sales

According to the Quarry Products Association's latest quarterly survey of construction material trends, aggregate sales showed strong growth in the second quarter of 2007, compared with the same period of 2006, reflecting a general improvement in construction activity during this period.rnSales of crushed rock were up 6% in the secondrnquarter, compared with the same period last year, while sand and gravel sales showed a 1% rise. Sales of ready-mixed concrete grew by 2% in the second quarter, confirming the growth trend evident in the first quarter.
