Micro-Epsilon (UK) Ltd have launched a new range of temperature sensing equipment, including the thermoMETER PI (process imager) - a rugged, inline, infrared thermal imaging camera that provides temperature images and profiles of a target area.rnThe plug-and-play device is compact (45mm × 45mm × 62mm) and lightweight (250g), allowing easy mounting in restricted spaces. The camera is protected to IP65 (NEMA-4) and is powered (5VDC) via a USB 2.0 interface, with a maximum current draw of 500mA.rnRather than being a handheld thermal imaging camera, the Micro-Epsilon camera can be fixed into position in a production process or research and development laboratory to monitor the temperature profile of target materials or objects.
