Krohne say they have developed a reliable solution for measuring supplies of powders and bulk goods with their new FMCW radar measuring device - the OPTIWAVE 6300C - which features a special antenna that can detect typical uneven surfaces in silos.rnOwing to the efficiency of the antennas and FMCW process, no equipment is required to align the antennas, making installation very simple. Krohne also say dust and deposits will not affect measurements, thanks to the use of ellipsoidal-shaped drop antennas, which are available in sizes DN80 (material: PP or PTFE) or DN150 (material: PP).
