ICE calls for evidence submissions to low-carbon enquiry

Construction firms, government departments, environmental groups, regulatory bodies and industry figures are all being urged to submit evidence to the Institution of Civil Engineers' (ICE) latest inquiry into the UK's low-carbon infrastructure.rnThe inquiry is the second of the ICE's select-committee style 'State of the Nation' reports, which looks into how infrastructure can be designed, developed, maintained and operated to deliver significant reductions in carbon emissions against current levels.rnICE director general Tom Foulkes commented:'Our existing vital infrastructure networks are going to need major upgrading...this new inquiry will examine how engineers can deliver large reductions in CO_2 emissions across our networks, ultimately providing a low-carbon vision for the future.'
