Cummins Power Generation have launched a new line of low-range generators designed to provide optimum performance and minimize environmental impact. Powered by X 1.3 and X 2.5 engines, the generators meet the most stringent EU legislation and provide a reliable power solution for a wide variety of prime or standby applications.rnThe X 1.3-powered units are available in 8-11kVA configurations at 50Hz and the X 2.5-powered sets in 17-28kV at 50Hz. Standard features of the generators include a Cummins PowerStart 500 controller and Excitation Boost System [EBS]. The latter, according to Cummins, is a power-enhancing technology allowing the smaller generator units to deliver the same power and performance as the larger models without increased running costs, while reducing fuel consumption.
