Canning Conveyor, manufacturers of bulk materials handling equipment, have supplied two conveyor belt reeling stations to South Africa-based SENET for a plant construction project near Abu Dhabi. In supplying the conveyor belt reelers for use on conveyors installed at Emirates Aluminium (EMALl, Canning designed, manufactured (with corrosion protection] and fully assembled the two bespoke units. In-house testing was also carried out prior to delivery to site. One of the belt reelers is a Canning C1800 powered-belt model (3.1m in diameter), which has been incorporated into a spider frame designed to handle up to a maximum 1,800mm belt width and approximately 20mm thickness of type 5T1000 transverse reinforced steel cord belting.
