The February branch meeting welcomed Steve Platt and Mick Knight, from Finning UK, who provided a technical presentation on the subject of 'operational best practice' within UK quarries. The talk covered the subject of efficiency and workability between Finning and the operators working the quarries. The meeting began with an interactive video describing the objectives of Caterpillar and Finning's Eco-Drive project, which has seen an increase in uptake within UK quarries since the project began in 2008/9.
