CMB International put CEMEX Northfleet operation back on track

CMB International have recently completed a complete refurbishment of a Cedarapids twin-deck 20ft x 6ft primary rinsing screen at CEMEX UK's Northfleet Wharf marine aggregates facility on the south bank of the river Thames, in Kent. The busy wharf supplies an on-site ready-mixed concrete plant, bagging plant and block-making plant, as well as external ready-mixed concrete plants in the area. As-dredged marine sand and gravel that arrives from the Thames estuary and dredging areas off the south coast is fed from stockpiles to a 350-400 tonnes/h plant which features twin aggregate processing lines. Although the eight-year-old plant has performed well, in recent times the screens have suffered from consistent ongoing issues. With one of the primary rinsing screens in need of urgent attention, the Northfleet team invited several companies, including CMB International, to tender for a complete refurbishment of the failing screen.
