DB Cargo UK sign new contract with Tarmac

DB Cargo UK have signed a new contract with long-standing customer Tarmac, which will see them continue to deliver aggregates by rail from Mountsorrel Quarry in Leicestershire. The contract came into force on 1 April 2016. The use of DB Cargo UK's freight services supports Tarmac's ambitions to increase the company's rail freight capacity to aid delivery of the UK's infrastructure and road objectives, and reduce transport CO_2 levels by 10% per tonne by 2020.
