Aberdo receives BAA 'Quarry of the Year' award

CCP's Aberdo Quarry, near Pentre Halkyn, in North Wales, was awarded 'Quarry of the Year' under the British Aggregates Association (BAA] Scheme for the Assessment of Operating Standards (AOS) at the Association's AGM earlier this year. The Scheme, which has now been in operation for more than 10 years, has the objective of raising health and safety standards at BAA members' sites. Each site joining the Scheme undergoes a rigorous inspection by an approved independent assessor and the results are judged by a panel of quarry operators to ensure the site has reached the standard required.
