Short Communication Weighted least-squares estimation of the shape parameter of the weibull distribution

摘要

The purpose of this paper is to propose the weighted least-squares procedure for estimating the shape parameter of the Weibull distribution. Results from simulation studies illustrate the mean-squared error of the weighted least- squares estimator is smaller than competing procedures in all cases considered.
