SSB Electronic SP-200 and SP-70

In the December 2015 issue of QST, I reviewed the SSB Electronic MHP-200 and MHP-70 mast-mounted receive preamplifiers for 2 meters and 70 centimeters. Both were installed at W1HQ, the ARRL Headquarters station for staff and volunteers here in Newington, Connecticut. As I stated in the review, they were terrific preamplifiers. Thanks to the MHP-200 and MHP-70, W1HQ was finally blessed with a satellite and terrestrial VHF+ station that could "hear" every bit as well as it "spoke."
