I often switch between fldigi and N1MM Logger during a contest, but the required speaker and microphone volume settings aren't the same between the two programs. So my waterfall display is either too loud or too quiet, and I have to navigate several Windows dialog boxes to change both the speaker and microphone volume levels. Switching to CW requires even lower volume levels than other modes to reduce garbled decoding. Then, when I change a program or a mode again, the volume settings must be reset.Because of the lost time and nuisance of these adjustments, I needed an application that would store the settings and easily retrieve them for the current scenario. Developing this application using Microsoft Visual Studio, plus learning the audio portion of the .NET Framework, seemed a bit daunting. There is a much simpler solution: AutoHotkey.
