Metsae Tissue to modernise PM 10 at Mantta tissue mill

Metsa Tissue Corporation has placed an order with the Pulp and Paper Machinery division of Vaahto Group Plc Oyj for the rebuild of PM 10 at its Mantta tissue mill. The facility is considered Finland's biggest tissue machine and mainly produces sanitary and household paper for the Serla and Lambi brands. According to Vaahto Pulp and Paper Machinery, the order includes a crescent former, a headbox and a winder. In addition, short circuit, press section and automation of PM 10 will be modernised. The order value is quoted at approximately €5m. The rebuild, which is aimed at improving product quality, will reportedly take place in the first half of 2010.rnMetsa Tissue Corporation is part of Metsaliitto Group and apart from Finland has production sites in Germany, Poland, Russia, Slovakia and Sweden.
