China imposes anti-dumping duties on dissolving pulp imports from Canada, the US and Brazil

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has announced plans to impose anti-dumping duties on dissolving pulp (DP) imports into the People's Republic of China from Canada, the US and Brazil. A government statement indicates that DP imports will be subject to a provisional duty of 0 to 50.9 % of the CIF price from 7 November 2013 onwards depending on the supplier in question. The Ministry's decision follows an anti-dumping investigation that was launched this February at the request of seven Chinese companies.
