US duties on Chinese tissue products may stay

USA may continue to impose antidumping duties (ADD) on imports of certain tissue products from China. Following the decision by the US Department of Commerce last October to retain the ADD, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) approved continuation of ADD measures. Both institutions expressed concern that without countermeasures, price dumping would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to the local industry. The ADD, amounting to 112.64%, have been imposed since 30 March 2005. The ADD order was first reviewed in July 2010 with the same outcome as in 2016.
