Many markets facing downward pressure on prices, but first hikes reported for RCCM in Italy

A rising number of Covid-19 cases is leading more and more European countries, including Italy, to impose stricter restrictions on civil life. Following a decree issued on 24 October, the country is now considering putting in place even tighter measures and expanding these to the entire country in November. Besides bars and restaurants closing at 6 pm, major shopping centres will close on holidays and weekends. Cultural and sporting activities will be shut down, with events and fairs cancelled. A night-time curfew will be imposed, and the freedom of travel will be restricted. A nationwide lockdown like the one imposed in spring is not planned, though, the government said.
