Swiss company S2P AG Straw - Pulp & Paper has developed a prototype process for a straw pulp plant.The underlying Pulp and Fertilizer (PF) process reportedly converts black liquor, a by-product obtained in pulp production, into an organic long-term fertiliser, which offers additional marketing potential making the overall production process more economical, the company says.
