Introduced in July, IDA Corp.'s Radio Remote Application (RRA) software uses voice over IP technology and arnPC to provide remote control of a base station radio via an Ethernet, LAN or Internet connection. The Internet connection might be composed of one or more Ethernet LANs, WANs or the World Wide Web. The software runs on a simple computer with a standard microphone and sound card, offering nearly the same feature set as thernMODEL 24-66 VoIP Desktop Remote Controller. Installation requires using the IDA Corporation Model 20-28 VoIP Termination Panel as the interface at the remotely located base station radio.
