COASTAL AREA MANAGEMENT IN CROATIA

This paper deals with the issues of the management of integrated coastal area development, where profit is not the exclusive objective, but is nevertheless of importance. The incentive here is shifted from individual profit to the sphere of the development of the global coastal area and the preservation of its natural resources. After a criticism of the practice of coastal development hitherto, a new management pattern for Croatia is proposed. The starting points for this management pattern are described, the key management sections given and a new coastal area development management system for Croatia is suggested.%Le présent article aborde les questions de la gestion du développement intégré de la zone côtière o le profit, malgré son importance, n'est pas l'objectif exclusif. A ce point, la motivation passe du profit individuel au domaine du développement de la zone côtière globale et de la préservation de ressources naturelles de celle-ci. Après une critique du développement côtier pratiqué jusqu'ici, cet exposé propose et décrit un nouveau modèle de gestion pour la Croatie.
