Local authorities and developers have long worked collaboratively and successfully on ambitious regeneration schemes. For developers, working with regional local authorities gives them the opportunity to think long-term and embark on projects that they might not have been able to do on their own. For local authorities, working with developers gives them access to much needed capital and talent. Last month, Property Week chief investigative reporter Mitchell Labiak chaired an online discussion about the future of the relationship between local authorities and developers.
