The long-awaited report by parliament's intelligence and security committee on Russia, published last month, did not hold back when it came to criticising the UK property industry, labelling real estate agents "enablers" who played a role in "the extension of Russian influence, which is often linked to promoting the nefarious interests of the Russian state". Since then, a host of Kremlin critics and industry campaigners have called for tougher regulation and harsher sanctions to stop the flow of 'dirty Russian money'into the UK property market.
