The pandemic has spurred urban office occupiers to expand their horizons and Property Eye has found the perfect office space for history and nature buffs. Former stately home Burrough Court, where Edward VIII first met Wallis Simpson in 1930, offers modern workspaces in a rural setting. Built in 1906 as a hunting lodge, Burrough Court was once the country retreat of Lord and Lady Furness and often visited by the former Prince of Wales. At the end of the Second World War, the main house burned down, allegedly due to some soldiers using explosives to get to a sealed wine cellar.
