ID Manchester restarts investor and developer partner search

The University of Manchester has resumed its search for a development and investment partner for its £1.5bn innovation district, ID Manchester. The university hit pause on the selection process in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic so that it and the four leading bidders could consider and deal with the effects of the outbreak. The partner was originally scheduled to be selected this autumn but will now be selected in spring 2021. The four partners and partnerships in the running for the scheme are: Bruntwood SciTech and Stanhope; Peel and Urban Splash; HBD; and Mapletree. "The university is committed to the delivery of ID Manchester and our ambition to create the innovation capital of Europe is unwavering," said University of Manchester president and vice-chancellor Dame Nancy Rothwell.
