Slough office market catches its breath after busy 2018

Last year Slough recorded its highest level of office lettings in more than 13 years. According to data from Cushman & Wakefield, total take-up in 2018 amounted to 310,000 sq ft - more than double the five-year average of 140,000 sq ft. However, the market has been sluggish in the first quarter of 2019, with few deals coming through. Last year's record was, in many ways, due to the success of Slough Borough Council's £450m 'Heart of Slough' regeneration project, which has encouraged private developers to invest.
