Amazon primed for mega-shed

Amazon, Britain's biggest online retailer, is on the cusp of signing a deal for a 1m sq ft distribution fulfilment centre in the Midlands as it looks to meet growing demand for online goods. The e-tail giant is in the latter stages of negotiations with developer Mountpark to pre-let the mega-shed at its logistics park in Bardon, Leicestershire. The deal will be a feather in the cap for "godfather of sheds"John Cutts, who set up Mountpark in 2013 and last year secured the backing of joint-venture partner USAA Realco.
