Take five: overseas investors make an impression in UK PRS

Middle Eastern investor Apache Capital Partners last week formed a £lbn joint venture with Moda Living to create the UK's first regional private rented sector (PRS) platform. Property Week revealed that Bahrain-based Apache had struck a deal to fund its first scheme in Manchester, the 458-unit Angel Gardens development, for £130m, with a view to a wider roll-out reaching 5,000 units. But Apache is not the first overseas investor to make waves in the UK PRS and take advantage of the lack of bespoke rental housing.
