First prelet at Mayfair site

The Crown Estate and Exemplar have secured their first office prelet at 1 New Burlington Place scheme. Property Week understands Davidson Kempner Capital Management has taken a floor of around 17,000 sq ft at a rent thought to be about £115/sq ft. Prelets are becoming more common in the West End because of a shortage of office space in the centre of London. 1 New Burlington Place is due to complete at the end of 2015 and comprises 79,621 sq ft of office space and 32,000 sq ft of retail space. Polo Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors have agreed prelets on 15,000 sq ft retail units at the scheme.
