TK Maxx cracks London's Covent Garden

Discount retailer TK Maxx is poised to make its debut in London's Covent Garden as it closes in on a deal to take Next's 20,000 sq ft store on Long Acre. The discount clothing and homewares chain is taking a 10-year lease at the property, where the quoting rent is £1.26m. The privately owned block is not part of Capital & Counties' portfolio of Covent Garden properties, which has attracted higher-end retailers such as Apple, Chanel and fragrance brand Jo Malone.
