An expert taskforce reported its recommendations this week on how to rebuild Tottenham, north London, following the August 2011 riots. The Independent Panel on Tottenham was convened by London mayor Boris Johnson in the aftermath of the last summer's violence. It is chaired by Property Week columnists Sir Stuart Lipton and Paul Finch, who is also deputy chairman of the Design Council. The panel recommends the creation of an organisation to spearhead Tottenham's regeneration, with representation from the London Borough of Hackney, the Greater London Authority (CLA) and the government.
