A detailed planning application for the redevelopment of Robin Hood Gardens housing estate in east London will be submitted to the London Borough of Tower Hamlets next month. Outline plans to demolish the 1970s brutalist development in the Blackwall Reach area of Poplar and replace it with up to 1,575 homes were approved in March. The application for the first phase has been put together by the council and the Homes and Communities Agency with Countryside Properties and Swan Housing Association.
