Hammerson hits City with London Wall plan

Hammerson has revealed detailed plans for a large site it owns just off the City's London Wall.A planning application for the London Wall Place scheme, designed by architect Make, was submitted to the City of London corporation this week.The site was originally intended to house US investment bankJP Morgan. However, the scheme's original designs did not meet its specifications.Hammerson signed an agreement with the City of London in May 2009 to acquire and develop the site itself.The new designs for the 1.8 acre site feature two new buildings: 121 London Wall will house a 300,000 sq ft building next to Moorhouse, and 123 London Wall, which is to the west of the site, will be a 195,000 sq ft office tower rising to 16 storeys, the same height as 5 Aldermanbury Square next door.
