TIAA Henderson hires JLL and Rettie for St James

TIAA Henderson Real Estate is set to market the hotel and residential opportunities of its £850m Edinburgh St James development. The company has appointed JLL to market the hotel opportunity, while Rettie & Co has been instructed to take the residential element of Edinburgh St James to the market. A luxury hotel will be the centrepiece of the retail-led scheme and will include up to 210 hotel rooms. A separate 41,000 sq ft apart-hotel also has the potential to provide between 52 and 70 suites. The residential opportunity consists of three buildings, which are consented to provide up to 250 units. The purchaser will be able to change the scheme for private rented sector, sale or serviced apartments.
