Quintain chief executive adrian Wyatt was yesterday due to deliver a radical sustainable vision for theThames Gateway.Wyatt, speaking in his role as chair of the Sustainable Environment Foundation, was expected to deliver the message at the Thames Gateway Forum at east London's Excel centre.His recommendations are the initial findings of a 'green paper' the foundation will unveil at a conference on 23 April next year.'What is the issue?' Wyatt asked. 'A lack of substantial progress, despite the urgency of the task and pockets of excellent redevelopment.'What have we set out to do? To assist government by establishing the requirements, methodologies and delivery mechanisms for achieving eco-region status.'What is the vision? An area that is diverse, safe, healthy and just, with clean air, water, soil and power, which is economically,ecologically and socially viable.'
