Self-storage unbreakable under economic pressures

The Self Storage Association and Drivers Jonas Deloitte's annual survey, published this month, shows a slight upswing in the market despite macroeconomic factors impacting on trading conditions. The continued slowdown in the housing market has affected the industry and the proportion of business customers has increased to 36%, compared with 30% in 2008. Almost half of users were moving house or making improvements, while 10% were simply decluttering their homes.
