Hunter Real Estate Investment Managers submitted plans to commence a £10m refurbishment of the Exchange Quay complex in Salford Quays this month. The Scottish-based fund manager bought the six-building complex on behalf of a North American institution in November 2013 for around £30m from Jersey-registered trust Exchange Quay Master Trust. The site is one of Greater Manchester's largest and most recognisable office schemes, yet it is 50% vacant.
