De Vere prepares sale of £160m golf resort portfolio

Hotel investor and operator De Vere Croup is preparing to launch the next phase of its sales process as it looks to offload a portfolio of golf resort hotels. Property Week understands that Christie + Co has been appointed to sell a portfolio of six golf resort hotels, including Cameron House near Loch Lomond in Scotland, for a price understood to be more than £160m. The sale comes after the hotel group completed its sale of a portfolio of 23 De Vere Venue assets to Starwood Capital for £232m in March. It is also due to complete the sale of The Grand Hotel in Brighton to a company owned by the Weston family, which controls Fortnum & Mason and Associated British Foods, for more than £50m this week.
