In 1992, Bain~[1] introduced a model for the fcc→bcc (bct) martensitic transformation, which later became the basis of the crystallology of martensitic transformation. It has been proved ~[2] that the atom displacement of Bain model is the smallest. Christian~[3] pointed out penetratingly: "the Bain model preferred to give the lattice correspondence between the new and the parent phase, Rather than give the whole lattice deformation."
