Physical models are proposed to investigate the rewetting characteristics of hot surfaces induced by surface tension or capillary flow. The theoretical analyses focus on the rewetting aspect of capillary flow in a porous cover layer and along circumferential grooved surfaces. Experiments were conducted to explore the transport behavior and to verify the theoretical conclusions.
