ISEA Issues Correction to ANSI/ISEA 110-2009

International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) has issued an erratum to correct a technical error in ANSI/ISEA 110-2009, American National Standard for Air-Purifying Respiratory Protective Smoke Escape Devices, with respect to the particle size for the particulate filtration test called out in Section 9.4.2 of the standard. The particle size distribution characteristics originally published are for dioctyl phthalate (as was required in the 2003 standard) which should have been amended to reflect the change to the use of sodium chloride as the challenge aerosol in the 2009 edition.
