Fact Sheet Describes Occupational Risks in Green Building

It is no secret that green buildings offer environmental, economic and social benefits that far outweigh those of their conventional counterparts. However, research on the occupational safety and health risks associated with the planning and construction of green buildings remains limited. To raise awareness of the risks associated with green buildings, EU-OSHA has released a new fact sheet, "Occupational Safety and Health Issues Associated With Green Building." The document provides information on occupational safety and health risks both new and old that demand specific consideration when planning, constructing, maintaining and renovating these buildings.
