CMI Fellow leads team in world's fastest car project

A Chartered Manager is leading a British Army team of engineers to develop a record-breaking, rocket-propelled vehicle that can top l,000mph. Five Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers are part of the Bloodhound supersonic car project aiming to beat the current world land-speed record of 763mph set by the ThrustSSC in 1997. The team has joined forces with Bloodhound to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, technologists and mechanics, said Maj Oli Morgan CMgr, Armyteam leader for the project. Morgan is a Major in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. He hopes it will attract more young engineers to the force.
