摘要

A vulcan bomber has flown for the first time in 14 years. The flight brought to a close one of the longest and most expensive restoration projects in British aviation history. The Vulcan to The Sky project has taken 13 years and cost £6 million. But organisers said it provided an important aviation link between the Second World War and the Cold War. Andrew Edmondson, who has been chief engineer on the project for 10 years, said: "This is just the end of the beginning for the Vulcan. A lot of hard work went into the flight and the reality of seeing it literally hop into the air was emotional.
